Location and FAQ
WHAT DO I DO WHEN I ARRIVE?
When you arrive at the lake, please head over to the check in area. If you are registered you will be asked your last name and birthdate to check in. You will receive a number written on your hand. In order to go into the water you will need to display this number.
If you are not registered, you may do so on site, but will need to sign the waiver and provide registration info. You may register on site for as many dates as you wish at the published price point. This line is often long and we strongly encourage people to register prior to the swim date. After registering you will receive a wrist band with a number on it. In order to go into the water you will need to display your number.
If you wish, you may borrow a swim buoy, towel, or goggles. We ask that these items are returned when you are finished with them so other thletes may use them.
When you leave, please return to the check in desk. You will be "checked out" of the swim. Enjoy a salty snack to stay hydrated and have a great rest of your day!!

There are some beautiful trails and scenery all around Simpson Lake. Cycling can be done by riding the trail UNDER or OVER (no need for across) Hwy. 141 and heading into the hills west of the lake. See the maps below for two options to leave Valley Park to the West side of Hwy. 141. These maps show you how to safely exit Valley Park without crossing traffic at HWY. 141. Once on the West side of Hwy. 141 you have hills and road for miles and miles and miles.....
WHAT IS THE BUOY ARRANGEMENT?
There are 9 buoys in the water. Orange buoys are labeled with distance while yellow buoys are there as sighting assistance. IGNORE THE YELLOW BUOYS and use this opportunity to improve your open water sighting, but don't worry about getting lost b/c there is always a buoy there for you!
